Kilines is the Founding Director of the Queen Elizabeth Academy and is the driving force behind it all. She is a talented teacher, and constantly sees the potential in people around her. She has fought long and hard for the QEA and for her home village Mlali and continues to inspire and transform her community more every day.

Yohana is the Head Teacher and School Manager. He is a graduate of the University of Dar es Salaam and was attracted to QEA because of the school's vision for social change. His energy for the work and commitment to educating children is difficult to surpass!

Winny is the school treasurer and one of the main driving forces behind the school. Even though she did not receive a secondary education herself, she believes fiercely in its power to transform lives. She is a leader in the women’s group and is an inspiration to many other women in the community.

Athanas has been with the QEA since the start, first feeding the children, then teaching reading and writing, and now he is involved in seeing the vision of the school come into shape. He is a valued management team member and teacher at the school and he drives much of the development in the farm.

Emma Sekwiha is officially a school cook, but in reality, she is vital to everything that goes on at the Queen Elizabeth Academy. She tracks the school finances, plans for income generating projects and is aware of all of the children and their needs. And that is just the start of it.
